Spoonflower Herb Contest
Herbs! Herbs! Herbs! And lots of them! I’ve picked a few of my favourites. These have been hand drawn, digitised and made into a pattern!
Food themed fabric continued
This fabric is made of little Malaysian kuihs. Kuihs are basically tiny bite sized cakes but instead of being baked, most of them are steamed or grilled. They are usually made from tapioca or rice flour, sago, coconut milk and glutinous rice. These cakes are pretty rich, so the small portion bite sizes are just perfect. Plus they come in so many flavours that it just makes sense to have a little bit of everything.
Condiments and Sauces Part II
Food inspired print!! I’m envisioning this will be cute as a playsuit, apron, tea towel, curtains for the kitchen…etc! Will be waiting patiently for the swatches!
collection: rhino
Another spoonflower.com fabric challenge! The theme is ‘Rhino’. I’ve always wanted to play with geometric shapes, so here’s the result for geometric rhino, oxpeckers and complementary fabrics. For the colour selection, I decided on a day and night colour palette.
collection: genesis in midnight
Giving Genesis a facelift with a new colour palette to suit the winter season.
collection: sew helpful
I try to my best to enter spoonflower.com’s ‘design of the week contest’ whenever I can. This week’s challenge is called ‘Sewing Notions’, and participants are required to create four coordinating prints sized to fit on one yard. I decided on using buttons, safety pins and bobbins to create a repetitive pattern. I also broke it down into individual items, creating supporting designs to form a collection. Still waiting for the swatches to arrive and if everything goes as planned, it should be available on www.spoonflower.com soon!
